Hello January

Hello January, the beginning of 2021! We welcome you with an open mind and hope hearts as we embrace what you have in store with hopes of radiating peace, love and light!

We have already blessed us with so many amazing names to love, as we welcome the newest bundles of joys around the world. One of the first newborn to bless this earth in 2021 was Elena Jean Elizabeth. Elena was born in Guam to Marlena Iglesias and Eugene Rippel. Elena, meaning shining light, feels like a radiant choice for a new year baby. Over in Colorado, born only one second before Elena, Gia Elise Barcus-Gray was welcomed into the world at 12:00:06am. Born in Tennessee, Harlow-Rose Huntington followed minutes into the new year; and a Massachusetts couple gained two blessings this year welcoming twins Shea and Violet. Another baby girl joining the Day 1 bunch is Remington Dee Marston. Remington was born in Missouri to parents Jake and Jamie. The last little one on this list is Rose Dawson. Rose is a third-generation New Years baby! Rose’s mother Davanna and grandfather David were both born on new years in 1987 and 1960 respectfully. The family is elated by this unique bond.

While any name works well for a New Years baby, it may be fun to pick a name tied to the holiday celebration. Hailing all the way from Scandinavia, darling Dagny has become a favorite here in American. This “new day” dreamer takes a more modern approach on Scandinavian sister Dagmar; and with names like Evander and Leander sweeping the naming community, “New Man”, Neander isn’t far behind.

The month of January also grants us new gems like Garnet. Garnet represents protection, creativity and healing. Beautiful symbolism as we begin this new chapter. Janus, the Roman God of beginnings and gateways is another nod to January.
