Axel Holland
Meet Axel Holland
Axel’s biological parents choose his name when he was born. His mom and dad considered changing his name completely because often in scripture the Lord would change someone’s name when a new identity was necessary. They prayed about the decision but felt it was important to keep his name Axel due to its meaning as it means “father of peace”. The Heavenly Father brought their family so much peace during a very difficult process.
Holland is Axel’s mom’s maiden name. Her own father only had girls and didn’t have anyone to carry on the name, until now. In addition to finally getting their boy in the family, her father was a man of the woods adding to the special significance through the meaning of Holland. It also follows a special tradition on her husband’s side of the family. Most of the men within the family don’t have middle names themselves. Her sister-in-law gave her own two boys family names for their middles (one her mother’s maiden name and one her mother-in-laws maiden name) so giving Axel her maiden name too carried the new tradition as well as honored her dad.
