Both of Gavin’s parents had children from previous relationships. Gavin was dad’s top pick as a first name for his oldest son but his ex unfortunately vetoed it. Mom was kind and let dad use his favorite name, giving his baby boy the first name Gavin instead.

Mom originally wanted to use the Remington “Remi” as a first name but she was pen to having it in the middle name spot instead.
